About TriExercise

Triex was established in February 2007. It is owned and run by a local family who have been involved in running and triathlon for some years. Some more infomation and blogs for a few of the people involved with Triexercise can be found here.

Julie Evans has been a keen runner and rower for many years and is able to offer advice to all runners, new and experienced. She is also well versed in triathlon as she has followed firstly her husband and now her son at triathlons all over the country. Currently she's in training for the 2010 London Marathon (as we speak she's out running!). We're hoping to "encourage" her into writing a blog about the training involved and when she finally agrees we'll be sure to add the link on here!

Darren Evans has been competing in triathlons for 6 years and has competed in local, national and international races in that time. He has covered distances from super-sprint to middle distance triathlons and recently competed at the triathlon world championships in Vancouver where he was proud to not come last! Having had his ambitions of conquering Ironman France 2009 dashed through injury, he his now patiently waiting for the current race season to kindly end so that he can start his winter base training for next year. His targets for the 2010 season are still a little unclear. It mostly depends on whether he is prepared to stop hiding behind thie "injury excuse" and actually get on and train! He wants to have another go at an Ironman, but feels he should concentrate on shorter distances while he is still young, fast and pretty enough.

Having had to deal with every eventuality and disaster possible, he is well able to advise you and will happily talk triathlon for hours (there's a sofa and a kettle in store for anybody who is also that way inclined!!).

Luke Watson works in the shop at weekends and holidays. Luke started out as a swimmer and is now in his fourth season of triathlon. He is studying at Loughborough University where he rubs shoulders with some of the giants of British Triathlon on a daily basis!!

He currently competes in the National Elite Series and has raced all over the country. He would love to share with you the knowledge and experience he has picked up in this time!

Luke is one of the top Junior Triathletes with some excelent performances, including:
