25th September 2010: The Wales Sportive
Day 2 of Tenby's "Ironman" event is the cycle. There's 3 options of 40, 80 or 120 miles. There route takes in several of the villages around Tenby and with prizes available to them for the "best supporting village" there's sure to be a party atmosphere all the way around the course, something that you won't get to experience often!
3rd October 2010: Autumn Epic
One of the most highly rated sportives in the UK, thia ride was voted Number 1 UK sportive in 2007 and 2008. Based in Radnorshire, hilly does not do this event justice! One of the best organised events on the calendar, this is a great way to finish the season.
12th June 2011: Tour of Pembrokeshire
The Tour of Pembrokshire offers two challenges- a 64 mile course and a 116 mile course. Both routes offer everything from towering climbs, terrifying descents and long sections where the speed can really be piled on. This events was an immediate hit in it's first year and continues to grow year on year.

4th September 2010: Chevron Pembrokeshire Team Challenge
Possibly the hardest team event there is! 4 of you will need to cycle 40km, row 10km and run 10km. The courses are tough and the format exciting, making this event a must for any team looking for a real test!
5th September 2010: Great Welsh Walkathon
he Great Welsh Walkathon is a new WOMEN ONLY event. The Walkathon will be in support of the cervical cancer charity Jo's cervical cancer trust. Set in Carmarthenshire the Walkathon will take place in one of the most beautiful parts of the South Wales coastline.
5th September 2010: Poppit Sands Surf and Stride Aquathlon (1km swim, 5km run)
This is a new event for 2010. It's based at Poppit Sands in Cardigan and is based on the annual 5km run series held there. The 1km beach swim is followed by a 1 lap 5km run. This is a great way for anybody to "dip their toe" into the world of multi-sport racing.

5th September 2010: Cardiff 10k
This 10k course around Cardiff city centre is organised in aid of Kidney Research Wales. It is well organised with a great atmosphere, a goody bag for all finishers and a 2km for other family members to take part in too!
26th September 2010: Dale 1/2 Marathon and 10k
Set in the seaside village of Dale, Pembrokeshire, this event is a real gem in the calendar and a great way to finish the season. With a field of just 300 athletes this event has a wonderful atmosphere and is very popular with top athletes and total novices alike! Both distances take in the challenging climb to St. Anne's head before the 1/2 Marathon heads off onto a challenging loop through the surrounding countryside.
26th September 2010: The Wales Marathon
The third day of Tenby;s first "Ironman" event is the run. There's the chance to do a half and a full marathon with a grand stand finish in Tenby's town square.
26th September 2010: Swansea Bay 10k
One of the most popular 10k races in the country! This flat and fast course is renowned for it's pb potential!
17th October 2010: Cardiff Half Marathon
This very popular half marathon around the Welsh capital is a great event for first timers looking to get around and experienced athletes looking for a pb. The route takes in some of Cardiffs most famous landmarks and passes through Cardiff bay. A very scenic, great spirited event.
25th October 2010: Dublin Marathon
Popular city marathon based in Dublin.The fast course is ideal for anyone looking for a PB, whilst the sights also make it ideal for a first time marathon runner. This event is well organised, well supported and offers a great opportunity for a break to Ireland!
30th October 2010: Snowdonia Marathon
In 2007 this event won Runners World Marathon of the Year- a somewhat surprising honor for what is also one of the toughest! It starts at 10:30 on the Saturday, allowing many competitors to make a weekend of it, staying in some of the best scenery in Wales!
5th November 2010: Pembrokeshire Coast Challenge
3 Marathons in 3 days! Following the Pemrokeshire cost path from Dale to Pwllgwaelod. The total miles is 78 and the challenge is set over 3 days.
21st November 2010: Sospan Roadrunners Multi-terrain 10 miler
This event is as multi-terrain as it gets, taking in tarmac, grass, sandy soil, gravel, forest and the beach! A great test and a welcoming atmosphere make this a great race!
12th December 2010: Aberystwyth 10k
This fast 10k around Aberystwyth is a must for any runner looking for a pb. Well organised and very popular.
6th March 2011: Llanelli Waterside 1/2 Marathon
The Llanelli 1/2 Marathon is a well organised and extremely popular event. The route follows the traffic free Millennium coastal path and is totally flat, making this event perfect for the beginner who just wants to finish to the experienced athlete who's chasing a pb.
10th April 2011: Llanelli Marathon
The second running of the Llanelli Marathon promises to be a great day out. After a successful first time in 2010 it's going to be bigger and better! Set on the traffic free Millennium Coastal path, this course is ideal for first time marathon runners looking to take on the challenge as well as the more experienced runners looking for a pb. Don't underestimate this though- it's a serious challenge!
19th June 2011: Llanelli 10k
This traffic free route is run on the Millennium Coastal Path and is flat and fast making it perfect for first time 10k-ers and experienced runners looking for a pb. Well organised!

24th September 2010: The Wales Swim
The first of it's kind in West Wales, the great Wales swim offers swimmers the chance to compete over 1500m and 3000m courses from North Beach to Castle Beach in Tenby. Forming day 1 of Tenby's "Ironman" weekend expect a great atmosphere and a big party!
26th September 2010: Diabetes UK Cymru Llyn Tegid Swim
A one mile swim based in the clean, safe waters of Llyn Tegid in Bala, North Wales. This is Diabetes UK Cymru's first running of this event and is a great way of challenging yourself whilst raising money for a good cause!
26th September 2010: Aqua Sphere Long Swim Series, 3.8km
This is the 4th and final leg of the series. Based at Dorney Lake in Berkshire the water will be calm and not too cold at that time of year. Test yourself over the Ironman swim distance!

12th September 2010: Bala Standard Distance Triathlon (1.5k, 40k, 10k).
This is a tremendously well organized race. Based at the beautiful Llyn Tegid in Bala, the lake swim is followed by a very fast bike course. Having been established for many years, this race attracts athletes from all over and is ideal for anybody who's either looking for a pb at this distance or simply looking to get around their first standard distance race.
12th September 2010: Neath Valley Sprint Triathlon
What a great way to end the triathlon season. Based at the Vale of Neath swimming pool and the bike and run routes following some undulating roads around the local area.
24th September 2010: The Long Course Weekend- "Ironman" over three days!
Which is tougher, an Ironman in 1 day or an Ironman over 3 days? For the first time you can find out! Set in Tenby in Pembrokeshire the swim takes place on the Friday, the bike on the Saturday and the marathon on the Sunday.
22nd May 2011: Llanelli Waterside Triathlon (750m, 28km, 5km)
The Llanelli Triathlon is perfect for athletes of all abilities. The course is immensely quick for athletes looking to clock a good time while the small lake offers a great first venture into open water triathlon for beginners. This well organised event is very popular with athletes from all over the country!
19th June 2011: UK Ironman 70.3 (1.9km swim, 90km bike, 21.1km run)
The Ironman 70.3 series is a great way of getting into longer distance racing. Set over half Ironman distance the race at Wimbleball grows in popularity every year.
